Effects of parameter uncertainties on the forecasted behavior of thermomechanically loaded thick-walled functionally graded spherical structures

چکیده
Abstract The subject of the investigation is an elastic functionally graded hollow spherical device under internal pressure and homogeneous heating. Since in reality uncertain parameter values are to be expected with respect both basic material data influences manufacturing process, effects these uncertainties focus present study. For numerical results, specifically a container or vessel steel-aluminum considered. Essentially, largest possibly occurring von Mises stress taken as assessment criterion. It demonstrated that uncertainty ranges system inputs may cause much larger scattering (in percentages) predicted maximum stresses. Moreover, sensitivity results variations different individual discussed, it shown application sophisticated computationally expensive homogenization schemes meaningful only if can determined quite high accuracy.
